For couples
Share the chores. Not the argument.
Spongi gives the two of you one shared list, reminds whoever’s turn it is and shows each week who did which share. So the dishes stop being a conversation.
Every couple has this argument
-
“I do everything around here.”
“No you don’t.” Neither of you has numbers, so nobody wins.
-
The list lives in one head.
One of you notices the bathroom. The other helps when asked. That’s still one person running the house.
-
You just moved in.
Two people, two ideas of “clean”. Agree on it before the first fight, not after.
How Spongi keeps it fair
-
Fair, not 50/50
Agree on the split that fits your lives, like 60/40 when one of you works longer hours. Each week shows how close you got. Fair share counts the thinking work too.
-
Points for effort, one goal for both
A big job counts three times a quick one. Your points add up to one weekly goal, so you’re on the same team.
-
Thanks instead of “finally”
Every finished chore shows up in the activity feed. One tap says thanks. The Monday recap shows who covered for whom.
-
Rotation for the chores you both hate
Turn it on and Spongi picks whose turn it is each time. One-offs without a name are up for grabs.
Couples can start for free: points, the weekly goal, Thanks and the recap are included. Premium adds your agreed split, rotation, Fair share and the Shameboard, and one subscription covers you both. Free vs Premium
Questions
Do we both need an iPhone?
Yes. Each of you uses Spongi on your own iPhone, and the list stays in sync between you.
Is Spongi free for couples?
Yes. The free plan is for a household of two and includes chores, reminders, effort points, the weekly goal and Thanks. Premium adds your agreed split, rotation, Fair share and the Shameboard. One subscription covers both of you.
How does Spongi decide what’s fair?
You do. Every chore has an effort level (quick, regular or big job), and each week shows your share of the points. With Premium you set the split you both agreed on and see how close the week came. Fair share adds an AI look at the thinking work behind the chores.
Won’t points turn us into rivals?
There’s no leaderboard. Your points add up to one goal for the house, and the recap celebrates the week, not a winner.
What if my partner doesn’t want to track chores?
Tracking is a side effect. Your partner gets a reminder and ticks the chore off. The numbers appear without anyone filling in a spreadsheet.
